Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.s)

  • Is there an age limit?

    We do NOT have an age limit. Our space is designed for 0-8 years old but we welcome older kids. Our entry fee for 8-12 year olds is $5/day. we do enforce our safety rules which include NO rough play, hitting, running, or any behavior that is not safe.

  • How often do you sanitize?

    We sanitize daily! We take cleanliness standards really seriously. We have rigorous cleaning protocol that involves hand-wiping with sanitizer or running the toys on a commercial dishwasher. Kids are messy and while we are actively resetting and cleaning throughout the day, the mess can developed quickly. If you see anything that is NOT clean, please tell us right away so we can take actions.

  • Can grandparents or nannies bring my kid?

    Yes! Your account should always be in the name of the primary caregiver so that you can add any other caregivers to your account. We can collect a waiver signature as a walk-in as well.

  • Can we bring our own food?

    We allow baby food and snacks. To reduce the number of allergens and load on our cafe staff, we request that you do not bring a large lunch or dinner.

  • What if a kid is playing in a manner that doesn’t make me feel safe?

    We take safety very seriously. If a child is playing in an unsafe manner, please tell our staff so we can take further action.

  • Can I bring drinks in the play area?

    Absolutely! Just make sure it has a lid. Our staff diligently busses any drinks left unsupervised especially because we sell alcohol and caffeinated drinks. You can bring your own water bottle.

  • How often do you rotate toys and exhibits?

    We aim to bring in new exhibits every month. Pretend town toys rotate every month or so as well.

  • Can we bring our own food and drinks to our birthday event?

    Yes. If you are throwing a party at Play Theory, you can bring food and drinks. We do NOT allow outside alcohol. We also do not have a big enough freezer to hold Ice Cream cakes.
